Problem solver - I will never "fake it till I make it." You can trust that I'll do things the right way, researching and polishing until your deliverable is just right.
Reliable - I want to make you look good. If I say your project will be done by Thursday, it'll be done by Thursday. But probably Wednesday, because I can't stop thinking about it and want to get all my ideas down while they're still fresh.
Design snob - Can we have a moment of brutal honesty? I am a bit judgmental when it comes to graphic design, layout, and especially fonts. I have a keen eye; you can always trust that your project will be clear and attractive.
Grammar snob - Take what I said about graphic design and multiply it by 100. The passion I feel for grammar is, according to my family and friends, borderline unhealthy. But what do they know? They probably use Comic Sans and reject the Oxford Comma, so who can really trust them?
Before we work together, I'll need to have a brief chat with you to figure out what you're looking for and help you decide whether I'm the right person for the job. To be honest, I really think I am, but I want you to be certain before we move forward. Hate talking on the phone? I hear you. It's not my favorite thing, either. However, it's really important for us to touch base and talk so I can ask you questions and make sure I'm 100% clear on your needs. I promise, going forward, I'll use email wherever possible! If you love talking on the phone, that's cool too! I want you to be satisfied with the entire process; I'll communicate with you through your preferred platform to make sure that we are 100% aligned at every step.

I have three kids, a husband, and a dog named Jaws. Jaws came to us with his name, and we thought it was cute so we kept it. Turns out, when someone leaves the gate open and the dog escapes, it's not as cute having to yell out, "JAWS!!!" in the neighborhood park as you chase him. Makes people a bit antsy.

I am a voracious reader. I set a reading goal each year, and always end up surpassing it. Recently, I went to the library to check out some books I had on hold (after months of relatively anonymous curbside pick-up). When I gave the librarian my card, she read my name and said, "OH! This is you?? You're the one who checks out so many books!" Now, my kids think it's cool that I'm library-famous.

My entire household is allergic to cats, but that doesn't stop me from wanting one desperately.

I am incapable of keeping plants alive. My brother and sister-in-law gave us an indoor garden with all the fancy growing lights, self-watering, seed pods, and plant food included - fool proof, right? After two weeks nothing had sprouted. I realized that I was only supposed to have added two caps of the plant food. I'd added the whole bottle. You give me a "fool proof" plant and I will kill it every time.
